In common with other schools across the country, Wave academies across Devon and Cornwall have moved to a Distance Model of Education and Safeguarding as a result of COVID-19.
In response to the latest guidance released by the Government on maintaining education provision, we are investigating how we could further enhance our current offer. Options under consideration include re-opening or part re-opening some of our academies. The only feasible way of doing this in the current circumstances would be to operate a ‘hub’ model. This could mean the provision may not be at the academy pupils usually attend and also may not be led by the members of staff they are used to working with.
Our priority as a community must be to reduce the spread of the virus COVID-19 by following the Government's social distancing and self-isolation guidance. This means that if children can stay safely at home, they should, to limit the spread of the virus spreading.
It is our intention to open for those children who absolutely need to attend, even if this is not their normal place of education. We are currently ascertaining what staff we would have available if we decide to move to this model. If you have a need to send your child(ren) to one of our academies please book them in using the link provided by your academy Principal.

The hub model is being put together to further enhance the current model of education delivery and support. We would like to thank all of the incredible and selfless staff who have already volunteered to work in the academies. Please note this is a very fluid situation and we may be forced to close the hubs if staffing levels drop below a critical level
Thank you for your understanding and support during these unprecedented times.
